About NCJCEP

Welcome to the North Carolina Joint Council of Extension Professionals! We are thrilled to have you join us!

The North Carolina Joint Council of Extension Professionals (NCJCEP) is a coalition of the NC Association of County Agricultural Agents; the NC Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Agents; the NC Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences; the NC Association of Extension Specialists; the N.C. Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association; the NC Association of Extension Program Assistants, Associates and Technicians; the NC Association of Community Development Extension Professionals; and the NC Xi Chapter - Epsilon Sigma Phi.

An umbrella organization of Cooperative Extension professional associations, the North Carolina Federation of Cooperative Extension Associations was formed in 1974 to foster professional development, to build consensus among member organizations, and to dialogue with Extension Administration.  In December of 2018, at the annual forum, delegates from each representative association voted to change the name of the representative body to NCJCEP.

Please feel free to contact your NCJCEP Representative for more information. If you don’t know who your representative is, contact your Association President.
